The essentials
Where is the hotel?
433 Corona Del Mar, Santa Barbara, CA 93103. Steps from East Beach, by Cabrillo Boulevard.
How far is the beach?
East Beach is steps away — about a five-minute walk. Beach blankets, surfboards, pool floats and kids' beach toys are yours to borrow at the front desk.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is before 11:00am. Early check-in is $25 and late check-out is $25, both subject to availability.
What are the front desk hours?
7:00am – 9:00pm daily. Call ahead if you will arrive after 9pm.
How do I get here?
Santa Barbara Airport is about fifteen minutes by car. The train station is a mile and a half away, and the Coast Starlight stops there. LAX is roughly two hours south.
Costs
Is there a resort or amenity fee?
No. There is no resort fee and no amenity fee. Breakfast, parking, Wi-Fi, the pool and the beach gear are all included in the room rate.
What taxes are added?
Transient Occupancy Tax of 14.2%, charged on the room rate only, and shown before you confirm.
Is a deposit taken?
All reservations are guaranteed with a credit card, and a security deposit of up to $100 is held at check-in for incidentals, then released.
What is the cancellation policy?
It depends on the rate you book. The terms are shown at booking and repeated in your confirmation. If you are unsure, call us and we will check.
What do e-bikes cost?
$20 per hour, $35 for two hours, $75 per day. The Cabrillo bike path runs along the beach in both directions from here.
Parking and pets
Is parking free?
Yes — complimentary self-parking on site, first come first served. No meters and no structure.
Is there EV charging?
Yes — a Tesla and universal charging station on site. Pre-registration is required so we can be sure it is free when you arrive.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. $25 per stay — not per night — for up to two well-behaved dogs per room, with a 40 lb combined limit. Dogs only, and they cannot be left alone in the room or in common areas. Service animals are always welcome and exempt from the fee.
The hotel
Is breakfast included?
Yes — complimentary, served daily from 6:30am – 9:30am.
What are the pool hours?
The outdoor pool is open 8:00am – 8:30pm and is heated to 80°F all year.
Is there a gym?
Not on site. The Cabrillo Pavilion Fitness Center is two-tenths of a mile away — we will point you to it.
Which rooms have a kitchen?
The King Room with Kitchen, the Double Room with Kitchen, and the Grand Suite, which has a full kitchen. They are what make a longer stay workable.
Which rooms have a balcony or deck?
The King Room with Balcony and the King Room with Deck. The room pages say which is which.
How many people can a room take?
Queen and King rooms take up to two guests. The Double Queen, Double Room with Kitchen, 2 Bedroom Room and Grand Suite take up to four.
Do you have an accessible room?
Yes — we have ADA-compliant rooms. Please request one when you book, as they cannot be held otherwise.
Do you take longer stays?
Yes, and we would rather arrange them directly — see our extended stays page. There is a separate rate for healthcare workers on assignment, with a seven-night minimum.
Is the hotel smoke-free?
Entirely — no smoking in any room, deck, stairway or balcony. A $250 per night cleaning fee applies if it occurs.
